Lex and Alan, what a gorgeous spring wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine! The mood with the coastal fog and on-and-off-again sunny weather added to the magic of the day. From the storybook cottage at the Breakwater Inn, literally overhanging the water, to every detail that followed. The love of family and all those wonderful friends (and huge bridal party! – so fun!) was so evident.
And we so love church weddings. And the cathedral-like St. Joseph’s in Biddeford, Maine could not have been a more beautiful setting for you. Classic, elegant, reverent. And when family friend and priest, the Rev. James DeFillipps travels all the way from New Jersey to officiate, it’s all the more meaningful. All the right sentiments, of course. Sprinkled in with well-placed humor. Perfection.
Trolleying back to the beach for family, bridal party, artistic, and puppy photos could not have been more fun. Again, the mood of the fog and misty soft gray light just added to the ambience. Large bridal parties are often a handful to contend with. Not yours – this group of 19 (!) was totally fun all the way. All the gals and all the guys. Wow.
The Breakwater Inn was the perfect backdrop for the reception. Cocktail hour on the lawn, time for lots more photos of family and friends having a great time. First dance was amazing, only equaled perhaps by everything else. The toasts, great food, and great fun with an amazing crowd of dancers (!!). The sparkler send-off was yet one more highlight.
