Oh, Kelly and George, did we ever love your Bar Harbor Maine wedding!! We get to see so many awesome wedding dance parties and incredible dance moves, and this amazing wedding dance flip at Kelly and George’s Bar Harbor Club, Bar Harbor, Maine wedding is one of the best! So, how do we go about catching a fleeting fraction of a second wedding dance shot like this? Of course we were in the right place at the right time, which wasn’t by total chance. But what ends up making the difference is all about being ready.
Being ready means we are stationed at a spot in reach of the main things going on. Being ready means having one of the two cameras we each wear having a wide lens that “sees” more. Bring ready means keeping a finger hovering over the shutter release. Adding to the interest in this photo is a bit of motion blur of the background but the subject frozen sharp by our flash.
“Being ready” here meant getting a top photo of the year! This is our #13 of 2018. Oh, this photo would of course never happened without the rocking-good-time music of Double Platinum DJ Services. Kind of apparent that they were doing a great job of keeping the party ALIVE!
